MÜZİK TARİHİNDE BAGATEL TÜRÜ VE BEETHOVEN’IN OP. 119 BAGATELLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

BAGATELLE FORM THROUGHOUT MUSIC HISTORY AND ANALYSIS OF BEETHOVEN’S OP. 119 BAGATELLES

This study examines the emergence and development of bagatelle, which is a small musical form and concentrates on compositional analysis of Beethoven’s Op. 119 bagatelles. This form has developed especially after Beethoven’s Op. 33, Op. 119 and Op. 126 bagatelles and many composers used this form in their compositions. In this study, the complete list of Beethoven’s bagatelles is provided along with examples from compositions of various composers. Foreign sources and articles have been used for this research. It is believed that this study will contribute to understanding the importance of bagatelle in piano literature by describing it and researching its development throughout music history.

Öz

Bu çalışmada küçük bir müzik formu olan bagatelin ortaya çıkışı ve müzik tarihi içindeki gelişimi araştırılarak Beethoven’ın Op. 119 bagatelleri bestecilik özellikleri açısından incelenmiştir. Beethoven’ın özellikle Op. 33, Op. 119 ve Op. 126 bagatelleri ile gelişen bu formda birçok besteci eser vermiştir. Beethoven’ın bütün bagatellerinin listesinin yanı sıra, bu formda eser veren bestecilerden de örneklere bu çalışmada yer verilmiştir. Araştırma sırasında yabancı basılı kaynaklar ve makalelerden faydalanılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın, bagatel türünün tanımını ve gelişimini araştırarak, verilen örneklerle piyano repertuvarındaki yerini ortaya koyacağı düşünülmektedir.
