Abstract

RESEARCH ABOUT SOCIAL SCIENCES AND STEM IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION: A CONTENT ANALYSIS

In the era in which we live, students are being putin the center of learning environment. In present approaches supporting this idea have accumulated to put its power on education. The STEM training model aims to train economically, creative leaders who have achieved the age of information and information. In addition, it puts equal opportunities in education into all these objectives. The aim of this course is to remove the science and mathematics lessons from the memorization system, to apply the knowledge in real life and to develop problem solving techniques / methods, to raise the curiosity, research and creativity characteristics. Social sciences are also very important for the human being, a social being. Social sciences play an important role in providing the balance between the needs of the individuals living in the community and the expectations of the society and in terms of providing them with the necessary knowledge, skills, attitudes and values. Social Studies is very important in terms of introducing the events related to the earth, explaining the reasons for their existence, citizenship rights and duties, what their responsibilities are, and in short, revealing the past, present and future interaction with the human and its social and physical environment. In this study, a content analysis study was conducted by examining the studies on ”stem” and “social sciences” in the learning-teaching process in recent years.
